My Approach

Whether this is your first time accessing support or you have sought professional support in the past, I will meet you where you are at in your journey. I take a person-centered approach that promotes respect, transparency and partnership. I am warm, genuine and non-judgmental and seek to provide a space that is relaxed, safe and calm.

I see my role as being there to support you to achieve your goals and to increase and build your overall wellbeing and sense of self. To achieve this, I take a holistic approach. This means not only looking at your presenting concerns but at the biological, psychological and environmental factors that may be contributing to your concerns.

I view every individual as unique and recognise that each individuals needs, and experience of challenges, will be different. For this reason, I take a tailored approach to supporting people.

I provide both in person and Telehealth appointments.

Support Offered

At the Anxiety and Wellness Clinic, my aim is to support you to build your mental, emotional, physical and social wellbeing. I can assist with:

  • Stress

  • Generalised Anxiety

  • Social Anxiety

  • Panic attacks and agoraphobia

  • Overwhelm

  • Persistent and pervasive low mood

  • Peri-Natal mental wellbeing

  • Trauma and traumatic stress

  • Grief and loss

  • Negative and obsessive thought patterns

  • Difficulty adjusting to a recent change

  • The effects of emotional, physical abuse or sexual abuse

To achieve this, I draw on:

  • A range of evidenced based Focussed Psychological Strategies (FPS) including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).

  • Theories and practice approaches including: Polyvagul Theory, Strengths Based Practice, Systems Theory, Anti-Oppressive Practice and Trauma Informed Practice.

  • Eastern practices including meditation, mindfulness and breathwork

The Space

I aim to provide a safe, warm and inviting space. The Anxiety and Wellness Clinic is located on Melbourne Street in North Adelaide. On-street parking can be found on both Melbourne Street and out the back of the building, on McKinnon Parade.
